Your Guide to the Uxbridge Farmer’s Market

For 21 years and counting, residents of Uxbridge have gathered each Sunday morning from May to October to connect with local farmers, makers, friends and family at the Uxbridge Farmers Market.

Infact, the UFM was voted Durham Best Farm Market in 2020 and Ontario’s Best Farmers Market in 2019, so you know it’s good! If you’re like us, you’ve been supporting local farmers, makers and businesses more than ever throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, which is why we absolutely love the Uxbridge Farmers Market; it’s the ultimate smorgasbord of everything we love about our community all rolled into one!

Okay, I’m sold — now gimme the lowdown!

Every Sunday beginning at the start of May to the end of October, the UFM opens up from 9am – 2pm, rain or shine, to allow local farmers and vendors to showcase their products and literal fruits of their labour to the community. Visit early for best selection, bring your own reusable bags and pay for your grocery haul with cash or card (pro tip: keep some cash on hand just in case any vendors have technical issues!)

Where do I check it out?

Due to the tornado on May 21st, the UFM can now be found at Herrema Fields at 85 Herrema Boulevard, Uxbridge. Every Sunday morning Herrema Fields parking lot is transformed into an open-air, pedestrian & pet friendly hub of awesome local vendors!

Who’s all there?

Whether you’re looking to stock up on some fresh greens and veggies, grab some locally raised meats, treat yourself to some handmade self-care products, pick up some home decor or  indulge in some sweet treats, there’s no shortage of awesome vendors to support!

UFM has a total of 21 full-time vendors appearing each week, and that number is growing. Be sure to check out their Meet the Vendors page to keep tabs on new additions to the market and the ever-changing list of part-time vendors that can change week to week!
